About Studio One
From The Beginning
Founded in 1989, Studio One Design Associates, trading as Studio One, is an interior-design firm with specialties in kitchens, baths, remodeling, and new construction. The firm has completed high-end residential projects in New York, Florida (Jacksonville, Miami), New Jersey, Connecticut, Illinois, Maryland, Israel, and the District of Colombia, as well as many restaurants in Baltimore. Studio One, which was named Baltimore's Best in 1993 and 2007 by Baltimore magazine, has received several awards of excellence from The Maryland Home Builders Association and has our work featured in House and Garden, Southern Accents, Florida Design, and many of the regional magazines.
Leadership Team
Marie Schwartz, ASID, NCIDQ
Born in Italy, Marie began her studies in Umbria and continued in New York and finished at Hofstra University. After graduation she worked at The Discerning Eye Interior Design Firm. She then moved to Maryland where she worked for the Tile Exhibit kitchen and bath firm until starting Studio One.
Shakira Bennett
Shakira has been with Studio One for several years, coordinating and helping our clients projects go smoothly and professionally. Making sure that everything is ready before its needed and according to the design.
Ari Stern
Ari has been putting studio one's designers and clients ideas and concepts into the computer and making beautiful accurate plans and designs for our professional contractors to follow as well as D.I.Yers. Helping our clients see plans of their dreams space before it is a reality.
